AnziParkour
AnziParkour turns parkour you have already built into timed courses. Tag the pressure plates with a wand, set up the rest in an in-game menu, and players get a timer, checkpoints, leaderboards, holograms and rewards. Inventories are swapped out during a run and backed up to disk, so a crash never costs anyone their items.
AnziParkour is free, but you have to apply for it. It is not on a marketplace. Ask for it in the Discord server. See How to Get It.
Overview
- Built with a wand. Mark the start, end and checkpoint plates, and tag the course's blocks. Only you see the coloured outline while you build.
- Everything in a menu. Plates, fail level, rewards, holograms, icon and leaderboard are all edited in-game.
- Clean runs. Players get three tool items (leave, last checkpoint, reset) in place of their inventory. Their real inventory comes back when the run ends.
- Crash-safe inventories. The inventory is written to disk and checked before anything is taken. After a crash, it is given back exactly once — never lost, never duplicated.
- Fair rules. No damage, no hunger, no flying, no elytra, no ender pearls and no creative mode during a run. Each rule can be turned off.
- Falls send you back. Falling below the course's fail level, or into the void, sends you to your last checkpoint.
- Leaderboards and holograms. Best times per course, a top-times hologram above the start, and a broadcast when someone sets a new record.
- Rewards. Money (through Vault) and console commands, with separate rewards for the first clear and for repeat clears.
- PlaceholderAPI. Records, personal bests, ranks and the live run timer for scoreboards and holograms.
Requirements
- Paper 26.2 or newer
- Optional: Vault and an economy plugin, for money rewards
- Optional: PlaceholderAPI, for placeholders
How to Get It
AnziParkour costs nothing, but it is not a public download. To get it:
- Join the Discord server.
- Apply for AnziParkour there. Say which server it is for.
- Once you are approved, you get the jar.
Installation
- Put
AnziParkour-2.0.0.jarin your server'splugins/folder. - Optional: install Vault with an economy plugin, and PlaceholderAPI.
- Start the server.
config.ymlandmessages.ymlare created inplugins/AnziParkour/. - Build the parkour itself, then follow Building a Course.
Building a Course
- Build the jumps, and place a pressure plate at the start, at the end and at each checkpoint.
- Stand in the course's world and run
/parkour create <name>. The editor opens and the wand now edits this course. - Run
/parkour wand, or click Building wand in the editor. - Set the start and end plates, add checkpoints, and tag the course's blocks (see below).
- Check it with
/parkour info <name>. A course is ready once it has a start plate and an end plate.
Wand controls
| Click | Effect |
|---|---|
| Right click | Switch mode: Start plate → End plate → Checkpoint plate → Parkour block |
| Left click a block | Use the current mode on that block |
| Sneak + right click | Open the editor for the course you are editing |
| Sneak + left click two corners | In Parkour block mode, tag every block in the box between them (up to 5,000 blocks) |
You can also pick the mode straight away: /parkour wand start|end|checkpoint|block.
Rules for plates
- Plates must be pressure plates (any kind) or tripwire, so players can trigger them by stepping on them. The plugin warns you if you pick another block.
- If you click the block under a plate, the plate is used instead.
- A plate can only have one role, in one course.
- The fail Y level must be below every plate.
Parkour blocks
Tagged blocks mark where the course is. A runner who moves more than the leash distance (20 blocks by default) from every plate and every tagged block is taken out of parkour mode. This stops players from walking off with the run still going. Clear them with /parkour clearblocks <name>.
While you hold the wand, the course is drawn in coloured particles that only you can see: green for the start, red for the end, aqua for checkpoints and white for tagged blocks.
The Editor
Open it with /parkour menu [name] or /parkour edit <name>. Without a name, /parkour menu lists every course.
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Start plate / End plate | Left click sets it where you stand, right click teleports there, shift + right click clears it. |
| Checkpoints | Left click to view, reorder or remove them. Right click adds one where you stand. |
| Fail Y level | Falling to this height sends a runner back to their last checkpoint. Left click to type a value, right click to use your current Y, shift + right click to turn it off. |
| Rename | Changes the display name. Colour codes like &b work. |
| Menu icon | Left click uses the item in your hand as the course's icon. Right click resets it. |
| Parkour blocks | Gives you the wand in block mode, or clears every tagged block with shift + right click. |
| Building wand | Gives you the wand for this course, or changes its mode. |
| Rewards | Opens the rewards menu. |
| Checkpoints in order | When on, every checkpoint must be reached, in order, before the end plate counts. |
| Top-times hologram | Shows or hides the floating best times above the start plate. |
| Leaderboard | View or edit the recorded times. |
| Teleport to the start | Takes you to the start plate without starting a run. |
| Delete this course | Ends every run on it and removes it for good, leaderboard included. |
Playing
- Start: step on the start plate. Your inventory is stored, you get the three tools, and the timer starts on your action bar. Stepping back on the start plate restarts the timer.
- Checkpoints: step on a checkpoint plate to save your progress.
- Finish: step on the end plate. Your time is saved, you get any rewards, and your inventory comes back. A new course record is announced in chat.
- Falling: dropping below the fail Y level, or into the void, sends you to your last checkpoint — or to the start with the timer reset if you have not reached one yet.
- Dying or quitting: the run ends. Your inventory comes back when you respawn or rejoin.
Anything you pick up during a run is kept and added to your inventory when it comes back. If there is no room, it drops at your feet.
Run tools
These replace your inventory during a run. They work with a right click and cannot be dropped or moved.
| Item | Default | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Leave Parkour | Oak door | Teleports you to the start and ends the run. Same as /parkour leave. |
| Teleport to Checkpoint | Compass | Teleports you to your last checkpoint, or to the start with the timer reset if you have none. |
| Reset Run | Redstone | Teleports you to the start, resets the timer and forgets your checkpoints. You stay in the run. |
Finding courses
/parkour courses opens a menu of every course. If browser.allow-teleport is on, players can teleport to a course's start from there. /parkour leaderboard <name> [page] shows the best times.
Rewards
Each course has two sets of rewards, edited from Rewards in its editor:
- First clear — given the first time a player finishes the course.
- Repeat clears — given on every finish after that, at most once every
rewards.repeat-cooldown-seconds(300 by default), so short courses cannot be farmed.
Each set can give money (needs Vault and an economy plugin) and run any number of console commands. Type commands without the slash. They can use these placeholders:
| Placeholder | Replaced with |
|---|---|
{player} | The player's name |
{uuid} | The player's UUID |
{course} | The course id |
{course_name} | The course's display name |
{time} | The time of this run |
Example: give {player} diamond 3

FAQ
Q: Stepping on the start plate does nothing
A: Run /parkour info <name>. The course needs both a start and an end plate, and its world must be loaded. Players in creative or spectator mode cannot start a run while block-creative is on.
Q: Players get kicked out of the run in the middle of the course
A: They went further than the leash distance from every plate and tagged block. Tag more of the course's blocks with the wand in Parkour block mode, or raise monitor.leash-distance.
Q: What happens to inventories if the server crashes?
A: Each inventory is saved in plugins/AnziParkour/inventory-backups/ before the run starts, and given back automatically the next time the player joins. Used backups are kept in inventory-backups/restored/ for 14 days in case you need to recover something by hand.
Q: Money rewards are not given
A: Money rewards need Vault and an economy plugin. Without them, money is skipped and commands still run.
Q: Does it run on Folia?
A: No. It is made for Paper 26.2 and newer.
